I have been trying to take care of myself more and been reading a lot more spiritual books and new age books. This book gave me a lot to think about and gave me some spiritual wisdom and insight I would have not had without it. It made me feel good reading it and express myself the right way and that is calmly and more focused. That is something that I needed. ~ Destiny Bridwell (Reviewer) , NetGalley
The way the author explains has a profound and elevated language, which greatly enriched and motivated me, touching my heartstrings and resonating with my spiritual essence. Although I have not meditated for a long time, I have had deep experiences in which I have transformed my inner reality in that short space of time, obtaining faster and more effective results than any other modality of therapy. What I find very revealing is that by focusing on an affirmation that resonates with the truth of my inner Being, it produces a transformation of consciousness, which can even be felt as a pleasant current in my physical body, mentally I am more lucid and emotionally I feel more stable and happy. I absolutely loved this book. I have been meditating for just over 5 years, and where possible i try to do it daily (however this isn't always possible). If you are new to meditation, or pro, this book will help you to start/continue your practice. Very practical, information and easy to follow instructions. I was little puzzled with Christian verse, mixed with Eastern mantra (that took some getting used to), however it is a great book and must read for everyone who wants to meditate. ~ MyBookSwapCub, NetGalley
There were many parts of the book that I really enjoyed. The meditations are beautiful, but I had difficulties with the Christian and biblical references. I recommend this book to anyone that would love to go deeper with their meditation. ~ Dawn Thomas, Belladonna's Books
This was a excellent guide to a more spiritual approach to meditation and learning the background of the Buddhist teachings. I found it very informative and useful for my own practice. I feel that I learned quite a bit from this book in regard to studying Buddhism and the history behind meditation. I appreciated that the author included Bible verses and prayers . This book is a combination of meditation and learning. However the act of meditation itself is the focal point . I highly recommend this book for all that wish to learn their practice further and enjoy the history and religion basis of Buddhism. ~ Cozy Cat Reviews, NetGalley
If one is ready to accept the truths of Divine Meditations, then one is way ahead of the game. You probably know how to meditation, know the importance of a true now and yet, you are still stuck on that last sentence. And the next one. And the next one. Divine Meditations is rich in content. It really helps to tighten up some loose-end thinking on critical spiritual situations. It's wild. ~ Ginae B. McDonald, NetGalley
Going to give this to my husband to read. He lives and breathes all things yoga and meditation. I like the way bill flows I also like the sense of calm that prevails in the"speaking" throughout the book. ~ Pam Wells, NetGalley
Author Jenny Light's passionate spirituality and dedication to teaching spirituality shines through every page and every sentence of this helpful and encouraging guide. Even if you are not on the past of Eastern Spirituality, I still recommend this book for its focus on Self-realization and Oneness. Who doesn't need to learn to focus, to direct Will, and to release concerns, worries, and anxieties? Certainly no one I know. Take the book slowly, even though the author's passion may incite you to read quickly. Read, ponder, and learn. ~ Mallory Haws, NetGalley
This is an excellent, inspiration book to help you learn to meditate using the Bhagavad Gita. A fantastic introduction to the subject and one I would happily recommend. I learnt so much from it. ~ Kirsty White, NetGalley
Devine Meditations is a unique book that brings together prayer and Buddhist meditations. I truly enjoyed the meditations. ~ Heather Bennett, NetGalley
This is the perfect bridge between secular meditation and a more spiritual and religious approach. It’s set out clearly and explains the benefits well. ~ Han Hunter, NetGalley
A great introduction to some of the most important Buddhist meditations. I'll be recommending this one. ~ Adam Di Filippe, NetGalley
A book of meditation for those who want more of a divine spiritual experience. Bible verses and prayers are included with learning to breathe and relax. This is the first book I have seen that combines meditation with a inspirational experience. Learning to meditate and finding inner peace and joy is the focus of this book. This author tells how it can be used in your everyday living. My minister son will be getting this book as soon as it comes out. ~ MArie Angel, NetGalley
This is a spiritual look at meditation and prayer which I found an interesting read. I loved the prayers that were included with each meditation and the background on each one. I would love a cd of the meditations to go along with this as I think that would make it even more powerful. ~ Lindsay Adams-Riley, NetGalley
I recommend this book by Jenny Light to all those who are seeking spiritual Truth. This is the first time that I have seen an author’s effort in relating a practical pranayama, a meditation, and an affirmation to each of the 26 Spiritual Qualities of the Bhagavad Gita. It is an interesting and inspiring way to keep us reminded of these spiritual qualities and to practically bring them into our meditation and everyday living. As Jenny says, it is a workbook in the process of getting to know your true Self by clearing out the old mental patterns and establishing new more positive states of being. ~ Stephen Sturgess, Kriya Yoga meditation teacher and author
Want to make your whole life a meditation? Read this book. There is considerable beauty here, and a great gift in these sacred chapters. Spirituality springs eternal in these leaves. Jenny Light’s luminescence beams through every room in the mansion of high spirituality—from the high theory of it through coaching your personal breathing. Everything you need to know shines here, within this book—and within yourself, as you will pleasantly discover. Jam-packed with spot-on, solid spiritual wisdom, shared openly and eagerly by an enlightened Jenny Light, spirituality springs eternal from these pages. This is a fine book—so good it should anchor the spiritual wing of your personal library. It’s a book to savour, to read again and again until you get it. And when you do, you will, like Jenny Light, find yourself enlightened. Seriously and joyously. ~ Jack Hawley, author of The Bhagavad Gita: a Walkthrough for Westerners
