A healer reveals powerful invisible ‘tools’ to expand your horizons and overcome personal challenges.
Beyond Sex and Soup is about the beauty in you. The beauty is always there but sometimes shrouded by fear, anger, anxiety or pain. This story is also about death, the knowledge of which makes us so much more joyful about living. Anna Parkinson offers you tools to help you uncover the beauty from the everyday drama of your life. She has found them powerful for her own healing and her practice of healing others over the past fifteen years. Along the way, you’ll encounter some of the everyday drama of the author's own life and the characters it’s been her privilege to share the adventure with.

I love this book. It’s full of heart. Anna takes us through her experience in dealing with her ailing mother, helping her through the last days of her life in a gentle style. She weaves this story with her journey to becoming a healer and her travels in India. As she does so she guides us through the seven chakras, explaining their function in the most depth that I have seen. Whether you’re new to the concept of energy healing or already a practising healer, this book will inspire you. ~ In the light - Growing your soul Podcast, Review
Here in Beyond Sex and Soup, author Anna Parkinson offers you tools to help you uncover the beauty from the everyday drama of your life. Indeed, as noted above, she has found them powerful for her own healing and her practice of healing others over the past fifteen years. Along the way, you’ll encounter some of the everyday drama of the author’s own life and the characters it’s been her privilege to share the adventure with. Whether you yourself are suffering, or have done, or it is your partner, family member, a loved one, a child, or just a neighbour you know, what Anna does is encourage you to take a deep breath, get in touch with the body’s true nature, and find the beauty in yourself and those around you; and then, if it isn’t for you, simply pass that teaching along to someone who needs it. In her book, written during the Pandemic, Anna uses the life and last years of her own mother’s life to beautifully explain the messages she is trying to portray, whilst at all times revealing other layers of her life and other experiences of her fascinating life. Also inclusive of some rather useful, day to day exercises - such as a beautiful, relaxing set of subtle breathing exercises, that she was taught by her grandfather - believe me when I say that (repetitively) reading this book will enhance the quality of your life; and have you oh-so much calmer than you have ever known your existence to be. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars. Beyond Sex and Soup is a spiritual book encouraging you to get in touch with your true nature and find the beauty in yourself. It encourages you to look beyond the negativity of fear, pain and anxiety the shrouds everyday life for most of us. The author is an established healer who cured herself of an inoperable brain tumour, so her in depth knowledge and experience in this area is vast. She uses the life and last years of her mother's life to beautifully explain the messages she is trying to portray, and other experiences of her interesting life. Many useful exercises are included and I especially liked the simple breathing exercises from her grandfather. A really interesting, easy read book that oozes peace, calm and healing from the beginning to the end. ~ JC Cross (Reviewer), NetGalley

"I have two passions: one is to demystify healing, making it available to everybody, and the other is to bring together spirituality and science. That is what Anna delivers in her book, a practical approach to healing based on practical experiences. She provides tools for reaching this deep inner reconciliation that so many are seeking. An inner journey to the source with simplicity and love - the two major ingredients of spirituality to me." ~ Annick Brofman, author and healer, personal email
“Anna takes you on a journey through a close encounter with death to a richer encounter with life. The sex and spirit is something I feel is so often missed with the average sexual encounter. I feel it is important to keep in mind the true gift of sex, both pleasure and taking the energy upward toward spirit.” ~ Donald Van Howten, author 'Ayurveda and Life Impressions Bodywork.', Personal email
