Hi Mary I just want to thank you for having written "How to bond with an Aquarius". Only I wish I had discovered and read it sooner! Thanks and love, Min x ~ Min, email
As an Aquarian myself with lots of Aquarian friends, I had come to the conclusion that it can be hard for non-Aquarians to really understand us, however, Mary English does a pretty good job and was spot on in a number of areas! The book is an interesting read, with lots of personal examples and the author's style is friendly and conversational, which I really liked. Also, she breaks the whole business of astrological charts down into something that is easy to understand, which is a first for me! I'm really looking forward to reading some of her other books in this series ~ Firegirl, Amazon
Now Mary is back in business and has just had published her second volume, How to Bond with An Aquarius and has already begun work on the third in the series How to Cheer Up a Capricorn .
The remainder of the signs will be covered in other volumes just as fast as she can get them to the printing press.
Mary points out that astrology is an ancient craft originating in Babylon in pre Christian times.
"I live and work in the middle of these two extremes and practice face–to–face astrology while also writing a sun sign column for green parenting magazine."
A few years ago she decided that what she really wanted to do was to write a book.
Somehow or other the title How to Survive a Pisces was born and she was committed to completing the whole project.
But she says: "As I am also a mother, my writing had to be in short bursts. But as my son grew older, the opportunity to write grew bigger.
"I then remarried and with single parenthood behind me, embarked on my new journey as a writer.
"After a number of years of publication in The Green Parent Magazine I applied for membership to The Society of Authors. I also wrote various articles for membership magazines including the Society of Homeopaths, of which I was a member.
"There are very few publishers prepared to accept astrological work. I heard about my present publisher through being on a BBC radio interview.
"The other interviewee was there to promote her new book, which she didn't quite manage but I made a mental note of her publisher's name.
"I then submitted my completed manuscript to O-Books, part of the John Hunt group.
"Little did I know, that the publisher was the same star sign as the title of my book."
How to Bond with An Aquarius is published by O-Books at £9.99.
Easy to Understand,Accurate, Practical:
"Another great book by Mary English, author of "How to Survive a Pisces". This time we're dealing with Aquarius, and knowing (and losing) a few in my life I wish I had this some time ago, to help me understand what I'm doing wrong and what makes my aquarian friends suddenly disappear. This book will help you get a closer look on how astrology works and why some people are the way they are. All is easy to read and understand, illustrated by real-life examples and practical advice. Even if you're a skeptic, I'd say give it a try - you may be surprised at how accurate it is."

This is an ‘easy reading’ book and I’m not a native speaker!
It was great joy to see unfold ‘The Aquarian’ in me:
(Moon conjunct Jupiter in the 11th house and Uranus in the 6th)
and The Aquarians I couldn’t get a grip on:
My Aquarian lover who was dearest, tender, smart, gentle and polite who would say ‘I’m not like that’ whenever I tried to start hugging him.
The little Aquarian baby boy that I looked after for 10 years, 3 days a week who was very loving but once said to me: ‘May I call you my mom now?’ It felt like a big revelation from the bottom of his heart.
They all ‘mirrored’ my Aquarian side….. Thank you Mary English, that I could look in that mirror now!
Quote from the book:
‘Aquarian friendship is a desire to be part of something but also to be separate from it.
That sounds perverse I know, but is a fact. An Aquarius wants to think (not feel, that’s a Water sign trait) that they are part of something big, but unique within it.’
This description fits exactly the way I find myself in groups. I am always asking myself WHY?
The Bach Flower Therapy is described and recommended to ‘overcome’ the emotions brought up trying to bond with an Aquarian and/or to be left by one, and so much more supporting advice.
You will just love reading this, even if you are an Aquarian…. I’m looking forward to the next signs!

Focusing on features as diverse as freedom and the thought processes, the author puts our understanding of Aquarians, in a nutshell.
Mary English has collected wonderfully diverse personalised accounts from original sources and has created a fun and fascinating little book on this topic.
Written in fun English, I couldn’t put it down!
I’m bound to become a collector of the whole series..
This book is like a box of chocolates, full of delights! The content has something for everyone, wit, a little history on Uranus, personal stories and quotes from Aquarian celebrities. Mary does an excellent job of breaking down aspects of astrology such as the moon, houses etc, in an easy to understand way. She even includes useful websites if you wish to explore the subject further.
As an Aquarian myself, I would recommend this book to all those people who find us hard to understand or think we are a little strange. Mary's book will provide insight and help you on your way to bonding and understanding us delightful Aquarians a little more. Enjoy!
Excellent Guide to Understanding an Aquarius
Mary has written an easy to read and very useful book on understanding the emotional and psychological makeup of an Aquarius. Going beyond the usual review of Sun sign attributes, she introduces the reader to the astrological chart system which anyone can generate for themselves with a birth date, time and place. Which House the Sun is in the natal chart can strongly influence which area in life your friend expresses the qualities of their Sun sign.
In addition, Mary also looks at the Moon sign (signifying our emotional nature) and as a bonus recommends a Bach Flower Remedy for each sign to ease the challenges associated with these placements.
The brief overviews and examples given to illustrate how the house placement of the Sun and moon sign further nuance the cosmic blueprint makes How to Bond with an Aquarius rather unique among the astrology books generally available. I
highly recommend reading it!

Recommended to anyone in relationship with an Aquarian
Mary English has written an easy to read and informative book on the traits of people born in the zodiacal sign of Aquarius. Although a slim volume, it includes insights on the various components of astrology that are generally overlooked when addressing sun signs, such as the rising sign, house placement and moon sign. She discusses the Aquarian personality from the perspective of each gender in their various roles as parents, siblings, lovers and friends. I particularly liked Mary's ability to relay her knowledge in common everyday language. I recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more about their Aquarian family members, friends and associates.
A must read!
I found this book to be informative, insightful and intriguing. Being a true Aquarian myself (with heavy Earth in it), I wanted to see how well Mary described my Aquarian friends, family, acquaintances, and above all, myself. She has written this book in an easy to follow format that will allow anyone reading this to get a true sense of how us fellow Aquarians operate. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in discovering how the Aquarian mind works, why we function as such, and for those who genuinely want to bond with an Aquarian. Happy reading!
~ SamsanEntertaining and instantly accessible.
I found this book fun to read but also a good source of information. It's very accessible particularly for those starting out in astrology (like me!) but what is also good about it is that Mary writes with a lot of heart so her comments are always kind and encouraging, even when detailing the less enticing aspects of this sign such as its reputed coolness and distance (speaking as an Aquarian). I enjoyed it very much and would recommend it to others as a good starting point.
~ AndreaI enjoyed this book very much. With the help of some spot on quotes and insights Mary Englishs guide to Aquarius takes you on a journey from the inner space to the outer reaches of the true maverick of the zodiac. Youll have fun exploring the paradoxes of the weird and wonderful Water Carrier and learn much from this independent minded sign one that insists on taking the road less travelled.
~ Frank Clifford, astrologer and Principal of the London School of Astrology, www.londonschoolofastrology.co.uk"Astrology can be a complicated craft but Mary makes it accessible and fun. This book is full of useful insights. Her writing style is fluid and charming." Full of hints and tips wisdoms and insights How to Bond with an Aquarius is an invaluable aid to understanding and appreciating the Aquarian in your life. ~ Sally Morningstar DipV Med, Author of The Art of Wiccan Healing and a life and soul coach
"What I love about Marys book is the unique approach she takes to help us understand and relate better to each of the 12 signs - in this case, Aquarius. Taking the main stumbling blocks of the average Aquarian we are suitably guided to a place of understanding and solution. If only we were given such a user manual for each sign early in life, we might all be more accepting of each others differences and the world might be a nicer place."
