For anyone who has read in this field of inquiry over the last few decades you will find a lot of information you may have already seen when reading Paul's book. However, I am confident you have not seen it within the context that he brings his findings to the table nor the mastery of telling you about his journey in discovery! I have read thousands of books, literally, over the last five plus decades and I have to say that Paul is truly a Word Smith as evidenced in his ability to weave both personality and facts into one story that is appealing to curiosity's appetite and doesn't leave you feeling empty or hanging when you arrive at the last page. As an avid fan of Erich Von Daniken I was interested and excited to read Escaping from Eden. I did wonder what new ideas and hypotheses could be added to an already popular genre. Also how Paul would compare with many other authors on this subject? No need to worry as this book is brimming with new ideas, theories and suggestions, absolutely impeccable and thorough research, and is an absolute page turner!! Paul has a unique prose that's warm and personal, you feel as though you are there with him. It's refreshing and calming to read and then reflect on some of the remarkable revelations afterwards. This book is fast becoming a classic in many circles and with good reason. It's a new view on the ancient aliens theory with many new well presented and explained ideas brought to the fray! Some absolutely, astounding nuggets of esoteric knowledge that is explained so effortlessly and clearly by Paul. It's not often I want to read a book more than once or look to encourage others to read it too!!! Rating: 5 out of 5 stars. I found this book to be very thought provoking and full of hard to dispute historical facts. Reading the Bible often I couldn't wait to read Mr Wallis's book. Reasons are given for the unusual things the God of the Old Testament does. Things I have wondered about in the past. After reading this book I have a different outlook that makes sense to me. The Creator had many reasons for the making of mankind I have come to conclude. Escaping From Eden also goes into other civilizations and their creation myths and temples. I found the Meso American discussion particularly fascinating as well as relevant.
