I am sure the experiences were true but also could be a way to show US how we humans are so inhumane, especially in our eating habits. It is very scary to think that our future or our ending could be so horrible. ~ Amazon, Review
Loved reading about what happened to her. It captures your attention and makes you want to read further to get the whole story. ~ Amazon, Review
Good book, it definitely kept me reading all the way to the end, it also had me thinking about what's really out there too. ~ Amazon, Review
I've long been drawn to the paranormal, mostly hauntings and cryptids, but not so much to UFOs and alien abductions. I had heard a great deal about this book, so I took a chance on it ... and I'm so glad I did. Davies writes with authority, and the story of his "protagonist" Susan just flows; like a lot of people who say they have had similar experiences, she seems not only credible but wholly convinced her life was forever changed -- "upended" may be a better word -- by otherworldly forces. I don't think the book changed my way of thinking about these phenomena, but I found Harvest to be a very convincing and sometimes chilling read. I'd gladly read more from this author. William J. A Journey Down the Rabbit Hole indeed! Just like G.L. Davies (author) said in this book...” Who am I to discern what is real and what is fiction? I’m just reporting what she said”. This poor woman is living in a hell (whether her story is true or make believe) that we can never begin to understand or even fathom! Simply put, I would rather her story be something she dreamed up from a disturbed mind than be true, for all our sakes! This is what makes this book a good read. We have been handed the power to lay down her judgment of Innocence or Guilt. Are you a believer or not? The balance scales are held by us, the reader’s verdict! I personally would love for Mr Davies to do a follow-up book so we could see where this woman is in her life now. Maybe then she wouldn’t feel so alone, if he could tell her...we the readers cared...I wish her happiness, health and well-being either way. ~ Amazon, Review
This story is truly terrifying and 100% real! What do they want with us? How do we protect ourselves? How do they know who to take? ~ Radiate Wellness Podcast, Review
When you start reading you might perchance think you have picked up the wrong book. Something by Stephen King, or H.G.Wells, or John Wyndham, or perhaps Arthur C. Clarke? But the difference will soon be clear to all: this is not a work of fiction. Pembrokeshire, the most westerly county of Wales, has been a hotspot for UFO phenomena for many decades but the most terrifying story I have yet read is contained in this book. Susan, an ordinary young woman has witnessed the human race being harvested and culled. She is now running for her life. Chillingly readable and utterly disturbing ~ Robin Price, Review
G. L Davies, just a quick note to say well done on Harvest, exceptionally well written and truly saddening the devastating impact on Susan; I read the book cover to cover today. There is clearly a lot more going on than we could ever imagine. ~ Reader Review, Review
Chock full of crackling imagery and investigative ideas and theories, al balanced out by the facts of the event and what came thereafter, Harvest is all filling, no fluff, that’s for damn sure! From start to finish, Harvest captured my imagination and held my attention, the way the writer writes a pure, unadulterated joy to behold on the page. Presenting the layered investigative groundwork upon a blanket of commonalities in alien-inhabited dreams, visions, and general experiences much akin, is an interesting angle to come at this case, albeit one that has be ridden before, just perhaps not so as assuredly than here. Rating: 4 out of 5 stars. 'Harvest', G.L. Davies' book, is a detailed discussion on paranormal appearances and UFOs. In particular, he recollects in this book the words of a young Pembrokeshire woman who believed she was the victim of alien visitation and their inhuman design. ~ Francesco Camodeca (Reviewer) , NetGalley
Harvest by G L Davies is not what you would expect when reading a supposed real-life alien abduction story. It’s quite the opposite. Davies presents this story without bias or judgement, only telling the story exactly as he was told. Susan’s story is relayed word for word, and it doesn’t matter that this story may be one of a woman having a mental health episode. Davies does not try to sway the reader, rather letting them decide for themselves. Susan takes the reader, believe her or not, on a horrific journey of alien abduction, or into the dark abyss of mental breakdown. Either way, this story is addictive from page one. Davies is an outstanding writer. His words are flawless, his technique, in this instance an interview, smooth and a pleasure to read. Susan’s story is a heartbreaking one, and his ability to deliver it with sympathy and empathy is commendable. Davies ends the book with an intimate interview where he’s the subject, and it’s one of the most heartfelt, inspiring interviews you’ll read. His honesty about his own mental health issues and struggle with dyslexia is nothing short of admirable and gives Harvest more heart. Not that it needed it. Harvest is a must-read for alien, sci-fi, or real-life mystery fans. www.aurealis.com.au ~ Aurealis #139, Review
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars. Definitely a different book, but one I had to read. Having loved the Haunting of Haverfordwest - I grew up there - this one was an auto read for me. Definitely different, not something I would normally read but I'm glad I did! ~ Kelly Allkins (Reviewer), NetGalley
This was the first book of this Author’s that I have read and thoroughly enjoyed his style of writing. The author presented this story in a clear cut way that will create various thoughts and emotions in whoever decides to read it and you really need to have a very open mind. It will leave some reader’s thinking it’s nothing more than fantasy or applauds the courage of the young lady who endures these horrific experiences. I will certainly be reading the author's three other books and what I liked about the author was his methodological approach to his craft and his kind and caring manner towards this young girl. It is refreshing to discover that there are a few authentic researchers in the world. I recommend anyone who is new to this specialised subject or indeed anyone who like this young lady is being abducted by non-human entities to give it a go. ~ Amazon, Review
Harvest was a thought-provoking and at times startling read. Reading it was an immense and terrifying experience in itself. When I finished it, I sat in silence for several minutes, trying to imagine what Susan must have gone through. The book begins with an interesting quote from Arthur. C. Clarke: ‘Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the universe, or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.’ This quote covers both sides of the investigation argument: readers may choose to believe the account they are reading, as I began to, or they may believe that there is no such thing as otherworldly beings. The choice, from the start, is left up to them. I liked many things about Harvest, one being the descriptive nature of Susan’s account. Her trauma from the various things she experienced is evident from the start, lending her a certain credibility in my eyes. The book is well structured, with the interviewer demonstrating a consistent level of empathy toward Susan, the interviewee. Their discussions regarding Susan’s experiences were thought-provoking, with a genuine level of compassion being shown between two human beings, something we rarely see between people nowadays. My Rating: 5 stars. A gripping, absorbing exploration of one young woman’s terrifying ordeal. ~ Amazon Review, Review
This is a rollercoaster of a read. Whether or not you believe in Alien life, visitations, or craft, this is a must-read. And it's scary. And it will make you think. Is this what happens to the Missing 411....? ~ Amazon Review, Review
READ THIS IF YOU WANT NIGHTMARES! Harvest is Fantastic and so Creepy. MUST-READ! ~ Anda Dumars YOUTUBER, Review
I started with some doubts because, honestly, the synopsis seemed like one of many that seek to create expectations when in reality the story is very soft. However, as I read, I became more and more terrified by what this woman was saying. The situations she went through seemed like something out of a horror movie, but much heavier. The author kept most of the book focused on the statements of Susan, the pseudonym of the woman who preferred to remain anonymous, and with good reason. Anyone who listened to or read only a part of these experiences would believe that they're the hallucinations of a mental patient, but when reading from beginning to end it's impossible not to be scared. With a highly descriptive style and additional statements that corroborate Susan's experiences, it's easy to immerse yourself in the narrative, move in time and space towards each experience, until you forget about the responsibilities. I would have liked the book to include the pictures mentioned in it to get a better idea of what Susan saw, but the explanations were graphic enough. G.L. Davies presents a terrifying reality in Harvest: The True Story of Alien Abduction. It's a book that challenges our understanding of the universe, the limit of possibilities, and what may be out there, perhaps seeing ourselves at this moment. If you don't believe in life on other planets, this book may change your mind. ~ Tinta Nocturna, Review

A fascinating and courageous investigation into Alien abduction. It was a challenging task to top Haunted: Horror of Haverfordwest, but Harvest managed it with utter aplomb. It's different while maintaining the tension and terrifying exploration of paranormal, in this case, alien, activity, he is renowned for. It appears this is the end for Davies, his final chapter and farewell feels well deserved as he has investigated and delved into the darkness for quite some time. His duty to represent his subjects with authenticity and without judgement is to be commended. There is no other investigator like him, and I doubt anyone could follow him with his unique style, his uttermost dedication to his subjects and his desire to open our minds—an incredible feat of literary work. Sleep well, G L. Davies. 5 stars ~ Amazon Reviewer, Review
What can I say?? WOW!! Certainly has left me asking questions. What Susan went through is both terrifying and intriguing! Wherever she is in the world I’m sending her a huge hug! I love the way GL Davies presents his books too. Feels like I’m there with them listening to Susan’s experiences and along the way GLD will take time to explain his thoughts also. I would highly recommend giving this a read!! ~ Amazon Reviewer, Review
The detail of this account is compelling and frighteningly disturbing, this has affected the poor young woman's entire being, a must-read! ~ Amazon Reviewer, Review
I waited in anticipation for this read and I was not disappointed, thanks to G L Davies for that. As with all his books, I was unable to put this down - gripped from start to finish!! The events Susan was subject to are unspeakably terrifying, so I also thank her for finding the courage to tell her story, making such an emotional read. Pembrokeshire is definitely on my to-visit list! ~ Amazon Reviewer, Review
My favourite book. I can’t put it down, very interesting from the go! The fact this is based on true events are terrifying and makes you start to think about how many people this has actually happened to! I hope there are many more stories and material to come from the author as his previous work is literally second to none. ~ Amazon Reviewer, Review
Aliens are among us, and they are not all friendly. The story of what 'Susan' went through, exactingly captured by GL Davies, is the dark side of the search for extraterrestrial life. Thousands of people go missing in the world each year. Is this what happens to them? The hardest part is that we just don't know what happens to those who are abducted--or for what purpose. He is the real deal. ~ Amazon Reviewer, Review
This book had me sleeping with one eye open, but even more, it had me questioning so many things that I’d not thought of before. Susan’s story is terrifying, however, the author so gently unfolded it, with care. It’s been days and I’m still keeping an eye open... ~ Amazon Reviewer, 0
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars. This book is written in an interview style. It involves a woman named “Susan” that describes her harrowing experience with alien interactions. In 2009, she had her first experience and witnessed a dog taken by the aliens. The rest of the experiences were of a more personal nature. She would wake up with nose bleeds, abdominal cramps and other illnesses. She witnessed an alien being literally suck the life out of her aunt and cat. The question always comes up if this type of person is telling the truth or making it up. I have watched countless television shows (Ancient Aliens and In Search of…Aliens with Zachery Quinto and which July 20, 2018) to know that what these people experience is real to them. I can only hope I never experience anything as terrifying as what Susan went through. Mr. Davies listened attentively as Susan went into detail about her many experiences. It is obvious he truly cared about her well-being. The story is well written and researched. There is a section in the middle of the book regarding the Welsh Triangle and the events people experienced in the mid1970s. If you are interested in the paranormal, supernatural, and/or aliens you will enjoy this book. As Susan requested, I am passing her message on in hopes that it helps others that have similar experiences but are afraid to talk about them. ~ Dawn Thomas (Reviewer), NetGalley
Harvest the True story of Alien Abduction Enter the mind, body and soul of a Susan and experience the happenings along with her. G. L. Davies takes us inside the mind of Susan as she recreates the traumatic events that changed her life, living in a darkened world and afraid for not only herself but women everywhere. The book is an interview the author shares with Susan a woman in her 20’s claiming she was abducted by aliens in 2009 not just once but over several periods in time. Her life is one of terror, fear, inability to sleep, fear of the dark that they will resurface and come back again. The first interview and incident in the barn is terrifying. What happened to the dog? The author continues to be wondering if she really experienced this, imagined it or if she is mentally ill. When you read this book you the reader will enter the worlds, dreams and horrors that Susan endured and realize that there just might be aliens out there that subjected her to horrific events, tortures and more. Final thoughts will be answered, and you can read them yourself: This is a eulogy of one lonely woman. At the end of this chapter, the author reveals how this affected his health and that this would be his last investigation. The final chapter Reflections is the author’s reflections on his life, how this changed it all and the events that mirrored some of the nightmares and dreams Susan experienced. Finally, an interview with Dave Dominquez that is quite compelling, quite enlightening and explains where he wants to go next, what he might write and his final thoughts thanking everyone for their support and for saving his life. SLEEP WELL G. L. DAVIES. This book is quite compelling, it took me time to read and understand the many messages, but Susan’s story seems all too real and her accounts are more than terrifying. Let us hope she can find solace, peace and harmony in a new life wherever she is. Fran Lewis: Just reviews ~ Just Reviews, Review
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars. Whether or not you believe in UFO’s or aliens, this story will chill you to the bone. If this story is in fact true, the premise of the tale and its ramifications could possibly change or sway your opinions as to whether there are aliens in the vast beyond, or if they have been on our planet for a very long time. As in past G.L. Davies’ books, he once again interviews and researches a claim, in the past hauntings, in this case a woman, who believes she was abducted in 2009 by aliens not just once but many times over a certain period. To this day she is terrified of what she saw and that they will return. Through interview questions we learn how Susan’s (not her real name) life spiraled out of control after she had some sort of incident while sleeping in a barn loft while attending a friend get together. Not really sure what to think, Susan tries to shrug the episode off and continue on with her life until a second happening occurred which involved herself and her then boyfriend. Then Susan began to have dreams…horrible nightmarish dreams in which she is visited by family members who have passed as well as small alien-like figures. Dreams in which she encountered women like herself and somehow was able to communicate with them. Post-visitations, she would become sick for days vomiting and having nosebleeds, as well as other symptoms. Susan, who lived with her aunt at the time began to notice her aunt begin to seem ill as well. Finally, her aunt asked her to please move out and move back in with her parents. As she tells what she believes took place, giving Davies impeccable and detailed descriptions of the encounters such as where they were, details and descriptions of the aliens, other humans encountered, she begins to see what she describes as visions of some catastrophic event in which she is not sure will end the world or be a horrific incident in the future. As Susan’s life begins to be overtaken by these visions, and the the thought of when the next one will come, she decides to cut-off communication with her family and friends for fear they will somehow become pulled into whatever is happening. She now lives a very lonely existence in fear of sleeping, in fear of her unknown. Whether Susan has really been visited by aliens, or whether this is something else, the specificity of her memory must lead one to ask did this really happen to Susan? I will leave you with this quote which Davies begins his book: Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying. ~ Lisa Campbell (Reviewer) , NetGalley
.............The writing was done well, the author does not try to sway our thoughts, he just writes it as he heard it and leaves the rest for us to make our own opinions. I appreciated that. If you believe in the body snatcher aliens then this book will be something you will enjoy. ~ Teresa Young (Reviewer, NetGalley
....................Author G L Davies, had spent many years studying the paranormal before he decided to take a closer look at UFO and alien activity reports in his home county of Pembrokeshire in Wales, known locally as the Welsh Triangle. One case in particular stood out, and the story that ‘Susan ‘ (not her real name) related about her alien visitations, and what the aliens have in mind for the human race is a really sobering and frightening tale. I approached this book with an open mind, and discovered an account of repeated alien abductions that Susan had suffered, and her account results in an extraterrestrial nightmare, which was so terrifying and distressing to read, that one has to ask the question, was ‘Susan’s’ account real, or is this someone suffering from delusional disorder? If it is real, then we all have something to worry about. Read it for yourself, then you decide! ~ Maureen Ellis (Reviewer), NetGalley
I never read non-fiction. I certainly don't read non-fiction alien books! However, something drew me to this book. I have to say I have been left speechless. The whole content is fascinating and terrifying in equal measures. I'm not sure where I stand in terms of belief but it has certainly given me food for thought and I have to admit to resonating with certain things mentioned. ~ Emma Gardner (Reviewer), NetGalley
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars..... Firstly, this is not a book I would usually read and provide a review for, but I’m glad I did. The book is a presentation of a series of interviews centered on a person called Susan, who is experiencing emotional and physical trauma in relation to close encounters of many kinds! This book is not what you think ! It does not lend itself to the usual Alien visitation writings, but is a very human story of courage, strength and more importantly a warning! The writer positions himself as neither an advocate, or repudiator of such claims; but merely reports the testimony and fact checks the information as far as humanly possible. This is a true story, as claimed by the person called Susan. Who is very relatable and ordinary. The testimonies are detailed, torturous and macabre; providing the reader with some very emotionally difficult witness accounts to absorb and understand. What’s good about it? Many things are good about this book, its very readable, and keeps you interested. It also makes you think and keeps you questioning your own position on fact or fiction as the accounts unfold......... A great book, well written! Are we alone ? Did I think it was fact or fiction ? Well you’ll have to read it and make up your own minds. All I can say is it felt real reading it. ~ Michael Steed (Reviewer) , NetGalley
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars. This isn't normally the sort of book I would read but was really interesting. It left me with questions and wondering if there is something really out there. ~ Helen Doroszkiewicz (Reviewer) , NetGalley
Harvest is a riveting page-turner about one woman’s account with alien abduction. I am fascinated by the paranormal, but also very much a skeptic. The events in this book combined with the research and testimonials of UFO sightings, has opened my mind to new and alarming possibilities. Mr. Davies walks the reader in gently, giving background on his history and the work he has conducted in paranormal research. Susan, the interviewee, is described with great care. I felt as if I was in the room as she spoke. I understood her fear, confusion, paranoia and desperation. I credit the author and his writing style for being able to bring the reader so close to Susan. Mr. Davies’ underlying compassion and empathy brings intimacy, depth and heart to this incredible tale. The content and the meticulous details are mesmerizing. Just when you think, wow, this is truly terrifying, and how can things get worse, you come to a chapter end with a sentence such as, “That night I had the first of three terrible nights. Three nights that defied anything I could even begin to understand.” The suspense and intensity keep building, and still nothing could have prepared me for final devastation of the Harvest. A truly brilliant book—insightful, harrowing, and introspective. Mr. Davies has done a great service to the study of the paranormal, giving us much to ponder as we stay awake at night reflecting on the details of this astonishing narrative. ~ Sylvia True - Author of Where Madness lies, Review
I picked up Harvest by Gavin Davies and didn’t put it down again until I reached the last page. Davies paints a vivid picture of his meetings with a young woman who tells him a story she is afraid to tell anyone else for fear of being ridiculed as a crank, bringing shame on her family and her mother committing her to a mental institution. The events she recounts to Davies take place in Haverfordwest in the county of Pembrokeshire, the most westerly county in Wales, and in a spaceship among aliens with no faces who treat their human captives like animals. It’s a tale not easy to hear. Davies must agree to her conditions before she will talk to him. Among her conditions is that he publish her account so the world will be warned of these abductions, but not until after she has left the U.K. Davies wades into her story by providing helpful, grounding descriptions of the young woman, her home and his own emotional state as he listens to her. He makes it easy to feel you are right there with them when he gives you detailed images like, “The ashtray before her was filled with cigarette stubs, tombstones of her memories.” And also when he shares his own physical reaction to listening to her recount her experience. He leaves her apartment after one session and vomits on the way home. What he is hearing is so dark that he can’t metabolize it, can’t stomach it. But somehow at no small cost to his own physical health, he does metabolize it to create a coherent and compelling page-turner. He keeps his word to her. He tells her story of abduction and torture over a period of months by aliens with no faces who abduct women of all ages from childhood to old age and experiment on them in a spaceship. What makes it bearable to read this account is Davies’ ability to give the reader relief by weaving in details of normal life as the horror unfolds. Davies himself comes across not only as a serious researcher and writer but as a sensitive and compassionate human being. Because Harvest is so frightening while reading it I tried to protect myself by imaging that the story could be the result of the young woman having had a psychotic episode. But that didn’t quite work. Her story was convincing in so many ways. At times I thought it was Davies who had made it possible for her to go on living after her experience, whether it was an abduction or a psychosis, because of the attentive way he witnessed all she had endured as she downloaded it into his consciousness, relieving her in some measure. I keep asking myself did all this happen as the young woman says? Are humans being harvested for experimentation by faceless aliens? It’s certainly possible. But isn’t that in violation of the quarantine around Earth? But then dark entities do slip through the quarantine. I’m left wondering still.
