'My name is Athar. At least it is now that I am here, in heaven. I can tell you the story only now. I couldn’t back then, when it was too painful, when it hurt too much. But now I know what happens. More than that, I now know why. I am not here to tell you what to believe. I am here to tell you what is true.'

A unique and inherently fascinating contribution to the growing library of Metaphysical studies and accounts of what comes after death, "The Afterlife - A Journey to: Now You Know What Will Happen" will be of special interest to readers in their study of reincarnation, supernaturalism, ghosts and spirit hauntings. ~ Midwest Book Review, Review
Thus here in The Afterlife - A Journey to: Now You Know What Will Happen, author Stephen Paul Chong details, in a highly thoughtful and genuinely impassioned manner, seventeen chapters (inclusive of The Passage, The Redemption, The Renewal, through to The Great Gardens, The Planning, culminating in The Recovery, The Rescues, The Chosen Pathway and The Great Vista) that will enthral the reader from start to finish. I mean, in general, the big question has always been Is there life after death? After all, we will all die, but the real question should be When, not if, professes Chong. Which then leads to What then? Is that all there is? Is it just a case of That’s it? We go to dust, and all that is left are legacies of a life, hopefully well lived. Chong adds that within this tome he has brought forth, he can only lay claim to the words as the author by virtue that it is his fingers that are waltzing on the keyboard. The source of the words is what we, the reader, need to determine as truth, folly or fiction. Or, perhaps, it all just comes down to the ism of What you believe is true. ~ Exclusive Magazine, Review

What I love about Stephen Paul Chong’s book ‘The Afterlife, a journey to’ is that it’s not just another guide to what might happen after we die. Instead, Stephen conveys this information in the form of a story that vividly illustrates how the afterlife might look and demonstrates how we will be held accountable for our actions. This will be when “you must confront who you really are, not who you think you are.” It’s a beautiful and compassionate tale of redemption told in a unique, insightful style. Set against the corruption and hypocrisy of the church, Stephen observes that it is often easier to be a religious follower than a spiritual voyager. Through his storytelling, Stephen reminds us that we can all be spiritual voyagers and he leaves us with an uplifting message - that love is the bridge between this world and the next and that, through love, we can always connect with those beyond the veil. Highly recommended. ~ Vanessa May, Author of 'Love Untethered, How to live when your child dies
The Afterlife by Stephen Paul Chong is a guide to the hereafter and what awaits us all after we die. It touches on heaven's various realms and portals that one will journey through after the inevitable ‘end’. However, there is no real end to life as we only begin a new journey after our time on Earth. Athar, the narrator, takes us on a journey through the afterlife and shares the details and secrets that lie just out of reach. Every human being has access to this information; however, most are just unable to tap into it. The Afterlife by Stephen Paul Chong is an interesting and thought-provoking book that seeks to enlighten and bring spiritual awakening to the reader. This book is written as both a guide and a story that explains the journey every human being will find themselves taking after death. We all must face the crossing and discover what our life on earth amounted to. I thought this book was very well written and, honestly, I found it extremely absorbing. As someone who was raised within the Christian faith, it was deeply moving and engrossing. It challenges what you as a person believe and also challenges your faith. Overall, this book was wonderfully written and I think it has a lot to offer readers in terms of spirituality. I would recommend this book as it gives the reader food for thought. ~ Miche Arendse, Readers' Favorite
I read this remarkable book at intervals while studying Van Gogh as part of my own work and at one point was struck by a moment of synchronicity between the two. Quoting the artist Mauve, from whom he was receiving some teaching, Van Gogh wrote: “God is almighty. He made the sea, the Earth… He can do everything, there is nothing He cannot do… No, He is not almighty, there is one thing He cannot do… God Almighty cannot cast out a sinner…” This lovely, also accurate, quotation surely sums up the essence of Chong’s book’s teaching. Readers who’ve been sadly brainwashed into viewing themselves as ‘miserable sinners’ will find reassurance that they won’t be ‘judged’ once they’ve died and crossed over. On the other hand, it will be seen that those who have deliberately acted either unwisely or with truly evil intent will in fact not be permitted to ‘get away with it’, since Hell, though always of our own making, does indeed exist. Yet Van Gogh’s God Almighty is also PURE LOVE and pure love, as is clearly shown within these pages, is totally inconsistent with ‘eternal damnation’. Thankfully, it’s only a matter of time until every soul learns this. Some take longer than others in the learning (witness the book’s ‘hero’s’ own mother), but the consolation is that we all have eternity in which to get it right. Enjoy! 'The Afterlife, a journey to' will provide comfort and hope to anyone who has lost a loved one and is questioning whether their loved one is still safe and provided for. With compassion and insight, Stephen provides possible explanations to some of the most challenging questions about the Afterlife. ~ Dr. Matthew Welsh, Founder of Spiritual Media Blog
This book enthralled me: in it I travelled with characters who found themselves experiencing the agony caused to others by their actions during their lifetime, and with those who had created and were locked into their own pain. While reading I had to discipline myself not to have a quick look at the end of the book to find out if there would be happy endings, until I recognised the theme of love that was guiding and supporting every character in a pathway leading to their respite or healing. A truly beautiful book. ~ Annabel Muis, Reiki Master and co-author of Turning Points; Regaining joy after loss
There are many chronicles of the lives of those who have traversed the dimensions of existence that are said to be ‘the Spiritual Path’. There are also countless stories of those who have experienced ‘Near Death Experiences’ and give us glimpses of that which awaits us after our transition from life. However, there are few who have brought to us details of the dimensions and path ‘on the other side’. ‘The Afterlife’ is one of those few. In a language both poetic and evocative, it takes us through the soul’s journey through the dimensions of purification to its fruition of service to life. ~ The Universal Storyteller, Divine at Play

Whatever your thoughts and beliefs are about what happens immediately after death, our one inevitable destiny, Stephen Chong’s book entitled ‘The Afterlife’ will give you some thought-provoking insights into his understanding. His appreciation of truth and consequences are not to be discarded easily, and one hopes his interpretation is somewhere close, as it is far more comforting than some of the models of yore. A great read. ~ Chris Shaw, author of 'The Imposter' & 'Counterpunch'
