Thirty-one years ago, I proudly received my diploma as a MD and gave the Hippocratic oath. Over the years, I have been working in different hospital departments and, in the last twenty years, as a GP and family doctor. One thing is what you learn from the textbooks and another is the somewhat more complex reality with the live patients you meet in the real world. I quickly discovered that knowledge and best intentions did not necessarily mean that my patients got better, healthier and happier. Thanks to a dear friend and colleague whom I consider my mentor still today when she is into her 80's. She was actually my own doctor, when I was a child, and who all life have been collecting alternative remedies, I have in my medical courier been open to alternative approaches when patients have asked me . Because of her I have always been interested in and open to the use of herbs, hydrotherapy and different 'home remedies' used successfully for generations, although considered nonsense by most of my colleagues. I started my career as a 'strong atheist', having Science as some kind of a Church. Any stories about alternatively healing have been equal to placebo effect there. But Life - both my personal experiences and the astonishing destinies of some of my patients - have changed my opinions and beliefs radically. Now I do not believe, but I know, that there is much more "'n between Heaven and Earth'. Although we may be unable to explain it with our 'school terminology', we can sometimes use it to help ourselves and our loved ones. I have over the years read quite a bit about energy healing, and can highly recommend both of Marzcia's books to anybody having interest in this subject. I find them deep, yet simple to get through, with a clear, logical message, still open to other opinions as well.
