These losses can range from loss of business, financial security, routine, or structure, to the deeper losses of meaning, purpose or identity. The author draws on her background in transpersonal psychology, integrating spiritual insights and mindfulness practices to take the reader on a journey in which to help them navigate the stages of uncertainty that follow loss.
The book provides several practical activities, guided visualization and meditations to cultivate greater resilience, courage and strength and also explores the potential to find greater meaning and purpose through times of crisis.

Although short, this book includes almost everything you may think about when you need to deal with the loss of someone or something. This is what I think I liked the most about it, that it also helps us deal not only with physical death but also with metaphorical ones. It is not only people we mourn and miss when the world turns upside down, but also situations, ideas, plans, and sometimes it hurts just as much. Meditations? Compassion? The stages of grief? How to reconnect with the cosmos when we are shattered? Checked, checheck, checked and so on. With a simple language and many ideas you can adapt to your own need, the author helps you navigate the hardest of tides and keep your head above water. This is a tool for future survivors, for those who won't give up no matter how hard it is. As I said, you not only get to explore the feelings of loss concerning people, family and friends, but also of the plans and life you had before. Although aimed to the public during the Covid-19 pandemic, readers get enough resources so to put themselves in a safe, healthy state of mind so heal, get rid of negative feelings and be able to come back. Resilience: Navigating Loss in a Time of Crisis is a book I will be reading in the future also because it is a tool for energy healers and therapists. Descriptive, simple yet profound the lessons you get are to be remembered, the meditations most of all. ~ Kyler B. Warhol
5 Stars: I really like this book. It rings true, compassionate, kind, and insightful. I especially like her personal sharing – of her departure after six years in Shanghai to come home to London and then, suddenly, the coronavirus lockdown, and the lessons of transition, loss and grief she learned along the way; I like the story she tells about her Italian grandfather’s POW experience and how he and fellow prisoners transcended their physical limitations to find creativity and friendship, even with the guards; and her use of those powerful “big” dreams that come along to provide us with meaning and revelation in hard times. Inviting others into her transpersonal orientation, Jules sensitively teaches mindfulness meditation, gratitude practices, and ways to cultivate the resilient self for the tremendous growth possibilities available in times of crisis. Finally, she reminds us that we are not our stories or our beliefs, but so much more. This book for personal growth in a time of crisis, and well worth reading. ~ John C Robinson Ph.D., Amazon US
5 Stars: I love this book. Similar to how Brene Brown reframes vulnerability as a necessary part of connection and intimacy, Jules De Vitto shows us how uncertainty and loss can actually lead to greater resilience, spiritual connection, and growth. I cannot think of a more timely book to be released during a global pandemic, as we all suffer a large collective transition. Because of this book, I now see how this "crisis" is actually an opportunity for something beautiful to emerge. I highly recommend this book! ~ Philosophias, Amazon US
5 Stars: Resilience: Navigating Loss in a Time of Crisis is an excellent exploration, into both the nature of the current crisis that we are in, alongside ways of making sense and dealing with the uncertainty of the transitional space. The book manages to balance grounded advice alongside deep spiritual insights, which has a nice flow to it. It contains rich and colourful explorative descriptions of what is currently taking place, using a good balance of stories, metaphors, reflective meditations and personal narratives that makes it feel very authentic and embodied by the author. There are also a variety of simple, direct and grounded exercises that invites the reader to be involved as an active participant in this explorative phase that we are in. You get a sense that the author has been aware of, and has been likely writing about, the kind of liminal space that we are in, long before Covid 19 took place. This gives the writing a sense of confidence and maturity, which has been nicely adapted to the current crisis. Regardless of one’s professional or spiritual background, there is a lot of great insight and practical wisdom from to gain from this piece. ~ Daniel J Crossey, Amazon US

5 Stars: I enjoyed reading this book as it most certainly comes from the place of the heart. It is written with the intention of being of purpose and value to the reader when the world seems to have gone through significant change with COVID-19. I found this self-help book contains valuable tips, powerful exercises, guided meditation scripts and offers a whole lot more to readers. Worth a read and worth keeping on your shelf! ~ Beljeet, Amazon
