Body, mind & spirit (general), Inspiration & personal growth, Out-of-body experience
With a foreword by Dutch cardiologist, Dr Pim van Lommel, and endorsed by renowned neuropsychiatrist Dr Peter Fenwick and Brenda Dunne of the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research laboratory, the explanations offered in this book for the existence of the human consciousness (soul, spirit) beyond the physical body, have the backing of some of the world’s most eminent academic and medical researchers of life after death.
Based on two new sciences (conscientiology and projectiology) proposed by Brazilian consciousness researcher, Dr Waldo Vieira, this book provides a comprehensive understanding of the human condition beyond the physical body, offering readers a profound opportunity to increase their self-awareness, self-confidence, balance and maturity, to fulfil their potential . . . to be less incomplete.
Conscientiology is the study of the consciousness and Gustus examines three of its attributes – that it is multidimensional, that it reincarnates and that it evolves. Projectiology studies the out-of-body experience (OBE). Readers are shown how to have their own direct, personal experiences of the OBE (a natural human capacity) and other parapsychic phenomena, enabling them to verify the information provided for themselves.

Sandie Gustus describes from a scientific point of view the practice of conscious out-of-the-body projection. This means leaving the physical body with full awareness and having 360 degree vision. Projection is something we do in our sleep but because it is unconscious any recollection we have is usually fragmentary and dreamlike. The Author also provides an intriguing insight into multidimensional nature of the universe. It carries many endorsements from the scientific and medical communities. ~ Graham Jennings, Two Worlds: Feb' 2014
This is one of the greatest books I’ve ever been given because it is the summary of my whole process, in English . . . accessible to most people. ~ Waldo Vieira, MD, Consciousness Researcher and Author, Projectiology: A Panorama of Experiences of the Consciousness Outside the Human Body; and Projections of the Consciousness
This is an important book for those who are curious about the possibility of the existence of other levels of consciousness besides that of the purely physical body. It is based on the research of Waldo Vieira which includes a very large number of personal experiences, particularly out of body experiences, collected throughout his life. Sandie Gustus is excellently placed to describe Vieira’s discoveries as she has been practicing and teaching his theories for many years and has considerable personal knowledge of a range of energetic and paranormal phenomena. The book provides practical methods for inducing out of body experiences and using them to increase our understanding of the nonphysical components of our conscious experience.

~ Pim van Lommel, MD, Author, Consciousness Beyond Life: The Science of the Near-Death ExperienceSandie Gustus has written a provocative and eloquent book focused on those aspects of exceptional human experience that are often overlooked, and even derided and pathologized by mainstream science, medicine, and media. However, these accounts are ignored at society's risk because they can not help but enlarge and enrich the boundaries of the human condition. ~ Stanley Krippner, Ph.D., Professor of Psychology, Saybrook University, San Francisco, CA, U.S.A.; Co-editor, Varieties of Anomalous Experience: Examining the Scientific Evidence
Any comprehensive understanding of consciousness requires incisive tools for studying the subjective aspects of human experience. The careful and systematic assessment of out-of-body experiences described in this book comprises a valuable scientific resource for approaching this complex and difficult challenge, as well as providing a potentially productive path for self-exploration and personal growth.
~ Brenda Dunne, Laboratory Manager, Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research (PEAR) laboratory; President, International Consciousness Research Laboratories (ICRL); and co-author (with Robert Jahn) of Margins of RealThe information communicated in this book is a true representation of the key themes of the sciences of conscientiology and projectiology as proposed by Brazilian consciousness researcher, Dr. Waldo Vieira, who has been my mentor and a personal friend for 25 years. These sciences have already enabled thousands of individuals around the world to assume control of their personal development in a rational and tangible way that is devoid of any mysticism, allowing them to experience more fulfilling lives. This book, an exciting first attempt to make conscientiology and projectiology accessible to a non-academic audience, represents, therefore, a contribution of enormous potential.
~ Wagner Alegretti, President, International Academy of Consciousness (IAC); Author, Retrocognitions: An Investigation into the Memory of Past Lives and the Period between LivesThis interesting book about out-of-body experiences and theories exploring the possibility of consciousness existing apart from the body is based on the research and life work of Waldo Vieira MD. Drawing from personal experiences grounded in the theories presented, Sandie Gustus speaks with the authority of someone who has studied extensively and taught Vieira's work for many years at the International Academy of Consciousness (IAC). The concepts of consciousness being multidimensional and multiexistential are explored in depth and the explanations discussed engender a moral code for living, encouraging readers to consider their own actions with regards to others. The book also offers practical guidance for those curious to experience the phenomena discussed. This is a welcome addition to the literature on the exploration of consciousness.
~ Dr Penny Sartori, Author of The Near-death Experiences of Hospitalized Intensive Care Patients: A Five-year Clinical Study and Staff Nurse in Intensive CareThis book is pivotal in raising awareness of Waldo Vieira's scientific research among the general population. It thoroughly explains the main principles of his work and provides practical guidelines for understanding consciousness at a very personal level. As we go forward in the 21st century and beyond, it is critical to raise awareness of and facilitate regaining contact with the nonphysical realms of existence in order to revolutionize science as we know it and this book makes an important contribution to achieving this.
~ Dr. Chantal Toporow, Aerospace Engineer; Council Member of the Society for Scientific ExplorationAt last, Dr. Vieira's major contribution to both science and spirituality through first-person research of out-of-body experience, subtle energy and psi is made available in plain English with accompanying techniques – a must-read for both lay readers and scholars. Sandie Gustus' own experience with these phenomena and their potential to enrich and clarify "regular" life is evident throughout the book, as well.
