This is the second book in the Shakespeare's Moon series and I loved it even more than the first! It was well written and the shift between past and present is done amazingly. This was an enjoyable novel that any one who has read or studied Romeo and Juliet will be able to appreciate as well. It is so well written and weaved seamlessly the aspect of young, forbidden love that even those who have never read Romeo and Juliet will be able to understand and learn to love these characters. After reading the first installment of this series, The Invisible Hand, I jumped at the chance to be able to read and review this installment. I was expecting a lot from this novel, since I enjoyed the first so much, and I was not disappointed! I love that it centers around another of Shakespeare’s play, but with it’s own twists and turns. I read this one in one sitting, because I just could not put it down, I was enamored! I loved the character development, and how easily I began to love each one. I’m a big fan of the whole boarding school aspect of the series, it brings something unique to the story. Since Romeo and Juliet is one of the most famous plays (that I know of at least) it made it much more fun to read since I knew some wort of back story. I feel as though lover’s of Shakespeare and even people who have yet to read any would still love this series! It is told in such a way that makes you fall in love with the character’s and the story. I really feel like the younger generations would appreciate this take on the plays. I can’t wait to continue on with this series!! ~ Kris, Boston Book Reader
