Imants Barušs
Imants Barušs obtained an interdisciplinary BSc from the University of Toronto, a MSc in mathematics from the University of Calgary, and PhD in Psychology from the University of Regina. For the past 25 years he has been teaching, mostly about consciousness, at Kings University College at The University of Western Ontario where he has risen to the rank of Professor. He is the author of four academic books and over 100 papers, reviews, and presentations, mostly about fundamental issues concerning consciousness. Among his books are Alterations of Consciousness and Science as a Spiritual Practice. He has served in a number of administrative roles including Chair of the Department of Psychology and member of the Senate of the University of Western Ontario, and belongs to various professional organizations including the Society for Scientific Exploration and the New York Academy of Sciences. He lives in Canada.
