David Gaggin
David Gaggin received a BA in Mathematics, and a BS and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering. He spent 16 years designing and managing flight control systems, avionics and cockpits for The Boeing Company. He then joined the US Government’s Senior Executive Service where he spent nine years in various director positions for the US Army’s and NASA’s electronic research laboratories. For the last 16 years of his business career he was the CEO of Cobham Defense Electronic Systems (CDES) Corp, a company he founded and grew into the world’s leading defense microwave corporation. He was the first employee and at his retirement CDES had over 3500 employees and a billion dollars in annual revenue.
However, throughout his business career heI spent his spare time seeking answers to questions like: Who am I? Where am I? and Why am I here?
The view of science that the universe was an accident and life had no meaning made no sense to him. We live in a highly complex world and he felt that there is no chance that it happened coincidentally.
He was raised an Episcopalian but even as a teenager questioned the validity of the Christian beliefs. He studied all the great religions in an attempt to learn their source. He found that their original principles were strikingly similar despite being created thousands of years apart and in different parts of the world. However, today their founding principles are usually overlooked, and their original tenets are difficult to discern.
Philosophy seemed like a fertile source of wisdom so he started with the ancient Greeks like Plato and Pythagoras and worked his way up to Emerson. He then studied Eastern philosophies, which offered excellent insights but did not provide the answers he was seeking. Curiously, it seemed the older the philosophy, the more enlightened it was.
He concluded that neither religion, science nor philosophy could provide a rational view of reality so he started examining extra sensory perception. After sifting through reams of information, a consistent pattern of wisdom began to emerge and separate itself from the rest of the documentation.
After retiring from the business world he wrote “The Endless Journey”, a metaphysical book on the nature of reality, and subsequently was a guest on over 25 radio shows. He created and for two years hosted “The Common Sense Spirituality Show”. This was a weekly iHeart radio production that was available in virtually every country in the world and averaged over 225,000 downloads each month. The show exposed him to a group of fascinating guests who were leaders in the metaphysical fields. His website, davidgaggin.com, contains about 80 of his radio programs. He also did a weekly podcast called “Aspects of Spirituality”. Laterhe founded and still host the Sanibel Metaphysical Meetup Group, where he gives regular metaphysical presentations to local audiences.
After a lifetime of study, not only did the multitude of disparate information begin to make sense, it turned out to be a truly good news story. He always had the feeling that truth would be positive, but the answers he found far exceeded his wildest dreams.
