We're proud to announce the launch of Collective Ink's brand new site.

It’s been a long time coming but it’s finally here: our new website has just launched and we’re pleased to share with you the work that has been going on behind the scenes for the best part of the year.

As well as an improvement to the overall usability, new authors will find it easier to submit manuscripts, and our existing authors will notice how much easier it is for people to find their books onsite. At Collective Ink our authors are everything to us, so throughout this relaunch process they have been one of our main focuses.

New branding

As well as the new site, you may have also noticed that our identity has had a bit of a polish too. To reflect our united purpose, all of our imprints have been visually aligned under the overall John Hunt brand.

Although we at Collective Ink and our books all come from different backgrounds and viewpoints, our goal is the same and this rebrand represents that.

Here’s what our Marketing and Publicity Manager Ben Craib says about it:

“Our rebrand is based on the circle as a reflection of this unity within diversity.”

It’s been an exciting few months for us here, and this refocus is just one part of it. You’ll be able to read more about these exciting changes in the coming weeks.

Enhanced focus on transparency

At Collective Ink we have always had a focus on being as transparent as possible. Whether that is about the number of books we sell, the royalties our authors receive, or our marketing efforts, we are open and honest about it all. On our previous site, this information wasn’t displayed as prominently as we would have liked, so now we have put it front and centre at the top of our homepage.

Not all publishers are as transparent as Collective Ink, but then again not all publishers are a worldwide, dynamic collective like we are.

At Collective Ink our authors pool all of their resources – we know that we are stronger together than we are apart, and our high levels of transparency go a long way towards representing that.

The future of Collective Ink

As we’re seeing out the year with the launch of our new brand and website, it’s time to start looking forward to 2019. Our continued focus on putting our authors first will only become more apparent. The next thing we’ll be working on is tidying up the back-end system that our authors use on a day-to-day basis, making their lives smoother in the process.

To celebrate the launch of the new site, next week we’ll be announcing a giveaway of books that stretches across all of our imprints – we will be posting more about that very soon!

Thanks, the CI team
