Well, this month sees the release of my own novel A Sacred Storm: Part III of The Reiki Man Trilogy. It's been a long road since I first started writing the trilogy back in 2007 and my life has seen many changes - all for the good. Factory worker and wannabee writer to author and publisher in five years, it feels quite amazing when I actually think about it.

The trilogy came about as I wanted to combine the pageturning of Dan Brown with my own spiritual take. A book for both spiritual and non-spiritual people. A thriller that would first and foremost entertain, but that might lead the reader somewhere deeper if they cared to delve. I wanted to dispel people's preconceptions of what spirituality is, and bring ancient practices and philosophies into the modern age, in a very real and down-to-earth context - a kind of street spirituality. I've been accused in some quarters of giving away to much information, and I've also been accused of showing Reiki in a bad light, but the books are what they are and if it shakes the reality of some then so be it. The overriding truth is that I've had fantastic support from readers and reviewers, and met some truly amazing people. The reaction has been such that I'm as excited about the books now as I ever have been, and maybe more so.

So, if you're looking for a read that shows a world full of fluffy bunnies, where everyone holds hands and chants mantras then these books might not be for you. But if you like the idea of an adventure with spies, ninjas, homicidal bikers, assassins, murderers, Messiahs, and the secrets of the universe, then perhaps you might like to check them out.
