Linda M. James

Linda James' psychological thriller THE DAY OF THE SWANS was a finalist in The People’s Book Prize, 2013.

She was brought up on the coast of Swansea, S. Wales where the stories and music in the sea influenced her childhood greatly and features in her
psychological thriller.

So far she has moved 47 times; from different counties in the UK, to living abroad for over 10 years. All the people she has met and places she has lived in have shaped her writing.

L.P. Harley wrote that 'The past is a foreign country.' It certainly has been so for her.

After leaving Vienna where she lived within walking distance of Mozart's apartment, she returned to the UK, took 3 degrees and lectured in English.

But soon her varied experiences in life started to surface and wouldn't be ignored. She left her job to write and never regretted it. She now lives in Canterbury, Kent, UK.
