The extraordinary experiences of one of the world's leading hypnotherapists
Adventurers & explorers, Healing (general), Healthy living
Steve Burgess didn’t set out to become one of the world’s most experienced hypnotherapists and past life regression specialists. Little did he know that when he fell into the profession by accident it would be the start of a strange odyssey that would change his life beyond recognition, and he would be facilitating therapy sessions in previous lifetimes in order to heal the emotional root causes of illness. Steve recounts stories of the power of hypnotherapy and regression therapy in his most memorable and jaw-dropping cases from over 15,000 therapy sessions including doing major surgery without any anaesthetic, helping clients to heal cancer and other physical illnesses, exploring alien contact experiences and releasing spirit attachments, along with his own adventures spending time in prison with Britain’s most violent prisoner, performing therapy on the Great Wall of China and the Inca Trail in Peru and spending the night in his own grave. Discover why Steve has devoted his life to helping others heal by using the extraordinary power of their subconscious minds.

I've had the pleasure of knowing Steve Burgess for the last 15 years, closely witnessing his remarkable ability to captivate his audience and students. His unique teaching style and storytelling prowess, coupled with his skill in addressing the root causes of people's issues, stand out distinctly. As a colleague in the field of hypnotherapy and regression, I can conclude his depth of knowledge, experience, and genuine care for others are unparalleled. These qualities shine through in 'Adventures of a Hypnotherapist'. In this book, Steve artfully explains the innate power we possess to heal psychological and physical issues by addressing emotional wounds, as well as harnessing the mind's natural ability to do amazing things like anesthetize the body before surgery. He masterfully intertwines factual information, client anecdotes, and his own challenges and triumphs, and he does so with sincerity and humour, making the book highly entertaining, captivating and enlightening. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone interested in personal and spiritual growth, the interplay between mind, body, and soul, and the transformative power of past life regression and hypnotherapy. Guided by Steve's expert narrative craft, this book promises an unforgettable journey. ~ Kenneth Soares, Hypnotherapist, Speaker, Co-Founder Power Thoughts Meditation Club
Steve Burgess takes you on a fascinating journey in his book ‘The Adventures of a Hypnotherapist’. He is a great storyteller and shares many of the unusual case studies from his 30-year career as a Hypnotherapist. His love for his work and compassion for his clients shines through, and he is not afraid to go places with his clients that other therapists might shy away from including alien abductions, spirit attachments, and past life regression. His passion for past life regression is apparent throughout the book as he shares many of the amazing client transformations from receiving this powerful therapy; he truly is an expert in his field. This book will appeal to all kinds of therapists and those interested in the workings of our amazing unconscious minds. ~ Marcia Tillman MSc, Hypnotherapist and Hypnotherapy Trainer; Founder Life Clinics (UK)
Adventures of a Hypnotherapist takes readers on an intriguing journey into the realms of the unconscious mind, through a fascinating collection of case studies. The author has many years of experience with regression of all kinds and takes readers into past lives, alien abductions, and ancestral journeys with a sure hand. He showcases the profound impact these experiences have had on the lives of his clients, and how releasing trauma is the key to personal growth and emotional freedom. The stories give a real insight into not just the author’s intriguing work, but also his skill, compassion and empathy, which shine through on every page. Adventures of a Hypnotherapist is essential reading for anyone keen to explore the mysteries of the mind and the soul. ~ Debbie Waller, Therapist and Founder/Principal of Yorkshire Hypnotherapy Training
I've loved reading "Adventures of a Hypnotherapist" in fact, I couldn't put the book down! It was fascinating to embark on a journey with such varied and unusual cases. I became intrigued to discover what happened to each client as they took courageous steps toward their transformation and healing. Sometimes I was in stitches laughing at Steve's unique wit and humour - especially when the content reminded me of similar incidents from my own practice! I really felt I was in a front row seat in his office, as Steve expertly dealt with very sensitive problems and delicate issues in a compassionate manner. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who is curious, has an interest in Hypnosis or is studying Hypnotherapy. There is so much to learn from the way Steve handles individual cases with flexibility, compassion, insight and wisdom. ~ Michelle Hardwick
This book is an excellent adventure into Past Life therapy, authored by, in my opinion, my 'go-to' expert in this field. People question such 'Woo-woo' methods, however reading this book the evidence is evident that 'something' is happening for these amazing changes to people’s lives, once they have experienced these techniques. The book is an easy and absorbing narrative to read, peppered with other blended techniques, to keep you wanting to learn more. The book is sprinkled also with Steve's humour, which lightens what could be perceived as a heavy topic. I highly recommend this book. ~ Kevin Laye, founder of PsyTap
Steve Burgess says he writes “to entertain and not to educate”, but I would totally disagree with him. He does write in a brilliantly entertaining and conversational way, but The Adventures of a Hypnotherapist will also educate a wide readership i.e. many different professionals – not just hypnotherapists – and the lay person. The book presents Burgess’ vast experience of being a hypnotherapist over three decades. The verbal accounts from actual (anonymised) clients are fascinating and detailed; and also cover a wide range of subjects – including abuse, witches, satanic rings. This book will challenge every reader – from the sceptic - to someone who is curious about hypnotherapy, regression therapy and past lives - and to the more experienced therapist. It makes you think and reflect, but also to question one’s own beliefs, values and ways of living and working. Burgess does give an insight into theory and techniques, but what is so refreshing is that he is honest about his thoughts and doubts which have arisen during practice. ~ Jacki Pritchard, Clinical Hypnotherapist and independent social worker, author of 'Hypnotherapy for Pregnancy and Birthing'
