Dr Lynne Sedgmore CBE is a former Chief Executive, a priestess and published poet. She has edgewalked between mainstream organisations and spiritual communities for over 30 years. She now offers a unique synthesis of Leadership and Goddess spirituality for our modern times in all its complexities.Her organisations won numerous awards, including the International Spirit in Work Award in 2007. She received the CBE in 2004, was named a UK woman of spirit in 2016 and featured in Debretts, the top influencers recognition list in 2015. She is the author of 3 poetry books, Enlivenment, Healing through the Goddess ( runner up in the Indie awards) and Crone.

Lynne is active in the Glastonbury Goddess community as a practising Priestess, teacher and healer. She coaches individuals and senior teams in charities and organisations that inspire her. Her leadership impact, writings and poetry have featured in several books, articles and magazines.

Across long time spans and wide geographic realms of history, the feminine and masculine dimensions have alternated a dominating influence for shaping human cultural development. If the patriarchal was ascendant in those regions shaped by monotheistic religions arising in the Middle East, the matriarchal theologies are actually more ancient, having emerged in many of our agricultural societies during the Upper Palaeolithic period some 30,000 years ago.

In Goddess Luminary Leadership Wheel, Dr. Lynne Sedgmore brings those feminine perspectives into forging principles and techniques for management leadership. In an era when all glass ceilings have yet to be broken, this book provides practical, detailed, and inspiring means for achieving inter-connected leadership through spiritual practice. In particular, a chapter “The Brilliance of Dark Moon” stood out to me. Implementing the 'Clearing Conversations' alone would be a life-changing practice for most people. The compilation of these powerful cycles is a life-time achievement certain to empower women throughout the world. I can't recommend this work reverently enough.

I read this book with a background in HR, and a 10 year career of teaching professional qualifications for HR & L&D professionals.

I really enjoyed this book as it is different from anything else I have read on leadership.
Don’t let the Goddess perspective put you off. Lynne has an engaging style plus 40 years experience of leadership as a CEO and senior leader. The way in which she integrates leadership and spirituality is refreshing, especially drawing on the four elements and seasons of the year.
As an Ayurvedic practitioner the focus on the elements and the connections between mind and spirit in Cycle 1 particularly appealed to me.
Give it a go, I think there is something of interest for everyone in this book, and it might open minds to a new exciting sacred female centred view of leadership - a field dominated by men, for men, for far too long.
