It describes the journeys of a monk and a girl in a subtle way that drew me immediately into the story. It shows the deep yearning for the spiritual path that both characters seek, each in their unique and touching ways.
The style: A sequence of brief chapters with the inner voices of both, where the characters often express their emotions and thoughts about the same event. A powerful style figure.
I often felt a smile, sometimes tears. Both voices are so recognizable, so universal! I felt touched by the natural courage, the sincerity and growing self-reflection and wisdom of the two main characters.
I was also touched by the author's psychological maturity, his capacity for deep empathy with both characters. It was beautiful for me to see how, in spite of their different natures, they gradually come closer to each other. In the end they have a deep connection - and at the same time complete inner freedom.
A valuable book for yourself and a gift to make a friend very happy.

He asked me to read and review it. So to help out I did. But then once I started reading I was captured by the story and could not put the book down till I had reached the end! I am very happy that it can now reach a larger readership so many may be inspired by this touching story.
