With so many ladies struggling with low self esteem and just so much self doubt these days, Sassy is the BEST sort of push anyone could have to change their life.

Lisa Clark is such a wonderful, descriptive and very humorous writer, the book really reads as if she is right there next to you giving you loads of support but also a firm push when you need it!

I've been following Lisa for a few years now and she really is doing wonderful things to help girls (and women in general) over come their self doubt. She is a vivacious and inspiring lady and this really shines through in the pages of Sassy. It really is a book every woman should read. In fact it should be mandatory that teenage girls especially get a copy of this! Women are capable of being so strong, powerful and can do so much if only they believe they can. Sassy makes ANYONE feel that they have that capability. Even after a few pages, I was hooked and found myself thinking all these thoughts of stuff I wanted to do.

If I had read this book when I was much younger (in my very painful teens!) who knows where I'd be now!

This book is really quite special. Lisa has a fun way of presenting empowering ideas to her readers. I found myself feeling very fond of her whilst reading her fantastic advice. She talks to all women and those new to self-improvement and spirituality. She translates some complex ideas into beautiful commons sense, giving me the boot up the butt I needed to make positive and powerful inner change. THanks to Lisa for writing this awesome little book!

So I have read both "Witch" and "Love Your Lady Landscape" (both published under her current name, Lisa Lister) and I absolutely LOVED them. I'm the kind of person that has to read all the offerings from a writer when I find ones that I really resonate with. This book is not it.

I can not STAND the language she used to write it. I could definitely tell from the first couple of pages that this was her transition book from pop journalism into the writer she currently is, because it feels like you're reading an article from a British teen girl publication the entire time (everything is slang and cutesy, performative descriptors...it's really jarring and takes away from the message.)

But...you gotta respect the journey; this is who she was at the time she wrote it...I'm cool with supporting someone whose current works I love and respect, but this one won't be picked up again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Irreconcilable similarities OR don't sweat the small stuff.

Yes, the title of this review is, in itself, a paradox. Human life is a a complex phenomenon, people are paradoxically fascinating and we are all forever trying to express our individuality whilst contemporaneously reconciling our differences. You see I hardly ever use the words 'freaking' or 'awesome' in my writing or speech. I shy away from pink and sparkly things, especially on my person. I have two bodily piercings, one in each earlobe and not a single needlepoint of ink on my skin...BUT when I read the words 'writing is Feng Shui' for the mind, I knew instantaneously that this author and I were on the same page.
Expression is an art form and Lisa has created a highly original visual representation of how it feels to be her. She simply encourages everyone else to do the same. You won't catch her criticizing your choice of attire, probably because such thoughts would never cross her mind - she's far too busy BEING herself, in every sense of the notion. She full-on practices what she preaches .And what I love about her writing is the fear, honesty and truth that she looks respectfully in the eye. There is no glossing over the deep stuff; the inevitable pain and discomfort of our existence is explored and revealed in its all of its ugly beauty.
This book has a sparkly pink cover it also has a powerful, potent and beautiful crimson heart.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it. Reading it again!

The book is so authentic - I could just imagine her actually sitting here with me, telling me all her secrets over a glass of pink fizz. Which is always awesome. I read it in one sitting and then took it out with me to the local park where I sat in the sunshine and started again!

I loved it. Reading Sassy has really given me back some oomph, a bit of spark, or dare I say it, sass. It's not so much a self-help book, but a 'freakin' get on with it, and be fabulous while you do it' book. It's made me think I can do anything, with a bit of go-for-it-girl attitude,
Lisa gives some really down to earth advice about some things which you might have thought of as 'woo woo' before you read it and think "Yeah, actually that makes sense". It's all about raising your vibration, and working that inner confidence. Should you read this book? Well, if you want to be inspired, get tips and tricks about how to 'crush on your own reflection' and raise your game. If you're ready to get out there and kick some ass in your sexiest heels, and have your friends ask you what your secret is.....yes!

5 stars isn't enough for this book. Reading it was like having the big sister I never had, snuggling under a duvet with me and telling me all her secrets to living a wonderful life just as she is, a beautiful woman. Once you've read it, so many things will just make so much more sense, and you'll wonder why nobody else ever revealed this all to you. Buy it, read it, make notes all over it and love it ❤️

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice for teens but not grown women
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 30, 2013
I was really looking forward to this book but while there is some wonderful advice, there are three sore spots I have with it. Firstly, the language used, treating the reader like a fourteen year old girl is cringworthy. The author has been known for some time for work on teen books and magazine and seems to have forgotten that she is talking to grown adults. With the best will in the world, even the most youthful twenty something doesn't want to be spoken to like a child. Secondly, there is some pushing with the spirituality of the author and while it is her choice to believe what she wants, not many people will want to take up meditation and tarot. Finally, I have to agree with a previous reviewer that it is not a feminist friendly book, talking about high heels and make up. Not all women are obsessed with this stereotypical stuff.

In fairness, the author does offer some good advice. This book would be a wonderful buy for a teenage girl. It would really help a lot of young girls out there. It just isn't suitable for adults. Sorry.
