Jesus shows us how to move forward in Him.
I have read God Calling for several decades. I'm convinced it can be seen as prophetic words straight from Jesus. I say prophetic because His words are edifying and exhorting. The edification comes in the form of loving encouragement to us His beloved. The exhorting comes in sometimes stern words to take Him seriously and act on what He teaches us to do. For me that means don't just bask in the encouragement, but I must make deliberate time to get away study His live and also to simply be with Him. One of my favorite quotes is, " Don't know theology, know Me." I find God Calling 2 to include more of His exhortations than the first one, which is what I needed to move on because as He says you can't remanin stagnant, you will either move forward or backward. Let's move forward, by being with Him, feeding on Him and obeying Him.

I wouldn't think of starting my day off without this awe inspiring book where God speaks to you personally each and every day . I highly recommend this book for everyone who has devotionals . It's the king of devotionals in my estimation. Another Great devotional is Sarah Youngs Jesus Calling. It's the third book I pick up every morning to start my day off with my lord and savior. I also have had the original God Calling for 37 years, it's quite dog eared now but I can't part with it. I prayed and asked God to show me a book he wanted me to read and then I stumbled upon GOD CALLING. Now I read God Calling first and then God Calling 2 and then Sarah Young's Jesus Calling , each and every morning. I would be lost without these three extremely awesome devotionals . In my opinion, there is none better.
