Hannah Sandoval is a full-time freelance manuscript ghostwriter and editor, and founder of PurpleInkPen, having dedicated her life and career to her love of books and crafting stories from a single spark of inspiration. She started PurpleInkPen straight out of college, refusing to settle for a job where writing was only one small piece of her work. Her passion lies in fantasy, mystery, and horror fiction. She lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA with her husband, Stephen (who's paper-and-ink counterpart appears in her debut novel, Arcamira); her daughter, Lottie; and a sassy corgi named Vanellope. Hannah loves Disney movies just as much as she adores Stephen King's entire body of work. A contradiction? She thinks not.

If you are a fan of fantasy: in particular The Lord of the Rings, Twilight and Underworld; you will like this book. It contains elements and themes from the same genre as all 3, yet weaves them together in a page turning tapestry of originality and creativity. The story combines classic horror characters with mythical creatures, and a few original ones, that work with or against the human and elfin heroes in a cataclysmic climax. There is a pinch of romance tossed in for good measure. I especially liked the human elements depicted in the creature's thoughts when the author allows us insight into their minds. This book can be enjoyed by all ages PG-13 and up.

This book grabbed me from the beginning and was never a dull moment. I love the fact Ms Sanodval did not drift too far in any one direction or follow a standard protocol. The main characters stayed within their abilities but the side stories and minor characters made it one complete work of art. I am hoping for more stories that include the Avalon Family, Erro and his sidekicks: the Griffin and Zezil. What could be better than a family working together to overcome evil and doing it with honor and integrity. I cannot think of anything. Whether you are a teen, thirty-three or sixty-three like me, it can be enjoyed by all ages.
Great work Ms Sandoval. I will be searching for your other books now that I have discovered this masterpiece.
