Jonathan Fardy is Assistant Professor of Art History at Idaho State University. His research examines the role art and aesthetics plays in theoretical production. He is the author of Laruelle and Non-Photography, a critical reading of the “non-photographic” theory of François Laruelle. He lives in Pocatello, Idaho, USA.

Jonathan Fardy is Associate Professor of Art History and Chair of the Department of Art at Idaho State University. His research explores the intersections of art, aesthetics, and critical theory from the 1960s to the present. He is the author: Laruelle and Non-Photography (2018); Laruelle and Art: The Aesthetics of Non-Philosophy (2020); Althusser and Art (2020); The Real Is Radical: Marx after Laruelle (2022); and Ideology and Interpellation: Anti-Humanism to Non-Philosophy (2024).
